Re: Tim Bardon (Precog Lemuers) Intro

Wow Oleks. I'm sorry to say this, but you really missed the point of Quantum Mechanics (perhaps bad readings?). First, quantum mechanics is not "Arbitrary mathematical construction without correct physical understanding of reality." This is not how science works. The theories that were ori...

Re: The global warming debate is "OVER!" (tm)

It's tough to say, but looking at some of the links by that article, it seems that msnbc is a wee bit biased on global warming.

The important thing to remember with any Big Bang Theory to support God is that by saying that God is the cause of the Big Bang, you are saying that God has no effect on our current universe. It's a somehwhat complex, highly scientific way of...

Re: Religion in the USA

Tolthar, The one possible "proof" I was thinking of goes something like this (not that it can actually lead people to believe in God, but it's an interesting thought experiment that shows the difficulty of accepting a rational explanation of the universe and God). As scientists look at sta...

Re: Religion in the USA

I must say that, despite my love for my religion (Judaism), I agree with you Petyr. While I follow the morality of my religion (as rationally it lines up well with Objectivism) and certainly the culture (after all, Judaism is as much a culture as a religion), I find it very hard to follow the faith ...
