Re: EBANK channel chat about philosophy and "Human Nature"
When you make a choice, it is based both on outside stimulus and your internal philosophy. Philosophy is derived by interaction with reality, and a moral philosophy is one that is in accordance with the fundamental nature of that reality. That's the problem, though, that the argument tries to assau...

Re: EBANK channel chat about philosophy and "Human Nature"
What is free will? The interesting argument I heard that supposedly negates free will is that a person either bases their choices on outside stimuli, or they don't. If they do base their choices on outside stimuli, then they have no control over the stimuli, and thus their choice is predetermined. I...

Poetry, that. Those who claim that we must cut off our carbon emissions to prevent an alleged global catastrophe need to learn the indisputable fact that cutting off our carbon emissions would be a global catastrophe.

Re: Tim Bardon (Precog Lemuers) Intro
Your argument on time is horribly flawed. Time is a dimension, in the same sense that left, forward, and up comprise a three dimensional world. Time is a fourth dimension. To say it doesn't exist would be similar to stating that left doesn't exist. In what way could left not exist? Only in a two dim...

http://www.urban-renaissance.org/urbanren/publications/Wegman[2].pdf If you still think that there is some form of merit to any chart or graph identifying warmer-than-average temperatures, prepare to have your mind blown. No comments on whether global warming is real or not, only hardcore evidence t...

Re: My Complaint Letter to My College
Francisco says to Jim Taggart, "Sooner or later, Jim, you will have to learn that words do have a meaning". Whether it was their intention or not, it still says it. It also happens to negate free will, saying that poverty has to bring crime, so it is morally justifiable. Because if someth...

Re: My Complaint Letter to My College
I think the only thing the quote is trying to say is that poverty breeds crime. Although I can understand the point of view trying to say that it implies it's morally justifiable, I just can't see that being the intent of what was trying to be said.

Introduction to Afndayle.
Greetings. I am Afndayle, (Afn for short if you should so prefer, don't ask me how to pronounce it just guess) a professional (albeit freelance) stooge for the Caldari Navy. I fly a slightly developed Caracal, training it against the weaker pirates in the area, although I would prefer to eventually ...
