Re: NYT Review: Ayn Rand’s ‘Ideal’ Presents a Protagonist Familiar in Her Superiority
If you both felt that bad about the article itself, I can't imagine what you would have thought if you read any of the comments... well actually you would have laughed... can't imagine what you would have thought if you read any of the comments and took them seriously maybe more accurate.

In Texas they are still fighting about whether you should teach creationism or evolution in school so don't get your hopes up!

I agree that's pretty impressive. I think you will find though that things start slowing down quickly. As your capital base grows it becomes very difficult to deploy it all effectively and in a time efficient manner.

Re: An old (in rl and in Eve time) member saying HI
Greetings Zap, long time no see. It's been even longer since I heard mention of The Five (-5-). Now your really digging up old history. According to the TTI Corp entry on the EVE Wiki your talking about 2005.. 8 years ago.. .makes me realize I've been playing this game to long! To be honest I really...

Obviously he was leading them, and I'm sure they also cut the footage to look as inflammatory as possible. BUT.. leading ... inflammatory ... or not ... who would say "Yes I think there should be a ban/cap on corporate profitability" or even as you suggest "Yes we should have a militi...

Old WSJ article on Atlas Shrugged
In a group I am a member of the subject of Atlas Shrugged came up and how it was voted the second most influential book by a Library of Congress poll. This WSJ article was referenced. I know it's a little old but I thought the writers comparison of the looters in Atlas and some of the government act...

Re: Recommended books/readings
And I prefered the Rich Dad/Poor Dad books to the Millionaire next door. I must admit its been several years since I read either. As I recall, Millionarie next door talks about the behaviour and spending habits of the wealthy, and how this enabled them to become wealthy. I also enjoyed a lot of the...

Re: Recommended books/readings
In no particular order Freakonomics and SuperFreakonomics by Steven D. Levitt are thought provoking if you haven't read them. I'm a big Michael Lewis fan ever since his first book Liars Poker about his time working at Solomon Bank in the 80s. He's probably most famous for The Blind Side which was ma...

Re: If someone had doubts over The Governator . . .
Actually the US has the premier medical regulatory system in the world. The backbone is our federal code of regulations. But interestingly enough the courts probably play the biggest role. Every day complaints are considered between physicians and patients. And the effect of these cases over time h...

not that I particularly care much, but at the very least it's dishonesty. His wife married him with the understand he would be faithful. He wasn't. End of story really Agree Also entering into an agreement of that magnitude (marriage) is dishonest in general or at the very least naive. I guess your...

Re: CCP's DUST-514
This is fairly much what I expect ... the major alliances that already exsist will come in mass to DUST and will likely hold the early power. As such, new comers to the EVE/DUST universe will be pulled into that exsisting political structure much as they are now if they choose to go that route in E...

Re: CCP's DUST-514
So the day to day EVE universe will be majorly effected by a different non-EVE CCP game? I'm not a person that shouts the game will die everytime the developers change something I don't like, but I have to wonder whether CCP know what they are doing here. It won't personnally effect me but I could s...

Wormholes are really interesting. Difficult to explain in a few short sentences so I just blatantly copied this from this http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=616 developer blog. Note: That CCP has also introduced T3 and all T3 components are only found in wormholes. TTI has huge succ...
