On indefinite leave
Hello everyone. Just letting you know that I've suspended my account with CCP. Although I finally got my financial situation sorted out, CCP had to drop their classic client due to financial problems of their own. Since I don't presently own anything with enough graphical muscle to play the premium ...

Re: ARI Statement on "Earth Hour"
The thing about Earth Hour that really annoys me is that it's supposed to be about thinking about how their actions effect carbon emissions when the actions of the people who participate in it clearly show they haven't put in any thought at all. Like the people who turn off lights and burn candles i...

Re: Exploit the earth day!
Just remember what Ayn Rand said about a reflexive non-conformist being the only worse thing that a conformist. The best way to deal with puritanical freaks is to go about your daily business and ignore them. Nothing infuriates their sense of righteousness more than knowing people are perfectly fine...

Re: Objectivist Movie
I must admit I'd prefer a stylised 2D animation over 3D. A sort of art-deco line-art style, like 'Batman: The Animated Series' that Warner did in the 90s. I've grown up with animation, as have most people in my age bracket and it's generally not seen as a "just for kids" thing anymore (jus...

Re: Objectivist Movie
I've always been of the opinion that Atlas Shrugged would work better as an episodic animated series than as a movie. Movies are meant for rather simplistic plots and I think that Atlas Shrugged is too complicated to adapt to that medium readily.

Well, I can only presume that since he was a high ranking and valued member of TTI in the past, that his behaviour was once quite different to how it is today.

Re: Hello Again... Hello.
Unfortunately, AT's left. I'm not sure what his attitude towards Objectivism used to be in the past, but he's become rather hostile to it these days. TTI has been doing well under the leadership of Oleksander. There has been a focus on recruiting and diplomacy and it's bringing us from strength to s...

Re: Taggart Transdimensional Film Production Department
Another possibility is an idea I've been knocking around for some time but previously couldn't bring myself to moot on this board. A parody of the Bud Light 'Real American Heroes' ads - Real EVE Heroes. Comedy could be just as good for attracting people as the propaganda vids other alliances are usi...

Re: Taggart Transdimensional Film Production Department
The trouble is, how do we make a video like that without it coming across as "Here are our goodies, please come take them, Mr Red Swarm Federation". Alternatively, we can go for the 'Manifesto Video' approach, similar to the ones being used by Anonymous in their online propaganda war again...

Re: Taggart Transdimensional Film Production Department
I'm going to need help with this. I can help with the music side, most definitely. I have a massive music collection which allows me to soundtrack pretty much everything perfectly. I can also write all the slogans you'll ever need and more (I've worked as a copywriter before). However, I'm useless a...

Re: Taggart Transdimensional Film Production Department
Not bad. But seriously, we do need to start punching harder in this category. Without good quality propaganda, we've got no hope of attracting the numbers we need. Check out this this video from the Red Swarm Federation. Right down to the quotes fron Ninteen Eighty Four it's naked evil, but they mak...

I like, greatly. Already knew most of this stuff, but it's good to get a refresher occasionally.

Yeah, one of the reasons why people are starving is because not many people are going to go to the effort of growing food if you've got no protection from random gangs of machete-wielding goons (who may indeed be FROM the government, if you made the mistake of siding with the wrong faction). Indeed ...

Wow, that really is quite appalling. Despite the many studies showing that lack of respect for private property is the biggest cause of poverty, not to mention the experiences of aid workers whose efforts were continually frustrated by violent and corrupt governments, he still seems to believe that ...

Guy claims he can prove God.
As attempts at logical proofs of God go, this one's got to be one of the weirdest. I figured you guys would get a kick out of this.
