Web Traffic Creates RL Opportunity

TTI is known for its intellectuals. This is a place for thinkers to gather and exchange quotes, thoughts, or other topics that might not appeal to the average gamer.

Web Traffic Creates RL Opportunity

Post by Golda »

Gentlemen:

Gunny, AT and Crys, and all contributors have done a fantastic job with our site. I'm always told by recruits and others we would rank in the top five of all players sites for EVE.

I'd like to ask about your thoughts on expanding the site to include an RL marketing effort capitalising on the site's traffic. I've done some research into commission-based advertising, and have done some of that before on my own sites. I'm sure there's lots of ways to raise capital for hosting fees, site expansion, Taggart novelties, etc. As you know, the sky is the limit.

I know I can count on our outstanding collective intelligence to post some great ideas on this. 8)

Per-click based advertisement is dead and would only serve as a nuisance to our visitors.

Selling shiny junk from Cafepress.com is always a good idea. A taggart transdimensional tee would be fashionable.

We'll need to get Activor Faust in the mix too.. as he is our new host for the web site. It's being moved this week.

Taggart T-Shirts? Taggart Coffee Cups? Sure... I'll take one of each.

I just bought 2 of those Eve cups that change color when their hot. I would dig one with TTI's Logo and the name on it. Or perhaps one with the logo and one of the Division names. mmmm RI rocks. :P

Metal Die-Cast ships, TTI or EVE mousepads, Caldari-skinned Caps, EVE Downloadable Player Guides, and the creative ideas begin to roll... With the goal being to appeal to the wider EVE audience, perhaps the EVE-based rather than TTI-based products/services would be more profitable.
