Checking in on the old school.

TTI is known for its intellectuals. This is a place for thinkers to gather and exchange quotes, thoughts, or other topics that might not appeal to the average gamer.

Checking in on the old school.

Post by ForumAdmin »

Hey TTI,

Some of you will remember me, some may not. I hope all is well in your band of EVE-ness. I'm not interested in rejoining the game if that's what you're wondering.

I like to keep tabs on my gaming past, especially one with so many impressive stories for LAN parties as TTI gave me that I thought I might as well say hi and ask for a status report.

How many people here now were actually there for the good old days with Ragnar, Murray and Omni when EVE went gold?

Anyway, I gotta transfer this domain over to someone soon, as I still own it and it's expiring soon. Sorry about shirking my domain admin responsibilities, but being in the military, getting married, and moving to Japan tends to make things a bit hectic.

If any of you old timers have specific questions about TTI history that you were never informed of for security reasons, don't be afraid to ask, I really don't care anymore and it's still a pretty cool story to tell. You may not like what you hear though.

Also, one of my old TTI buddies asked me a month or so ago if I wanted to check out your private forums to see what yall were up to. We didn't in the end (mostly due to a lack of interest), so no worries, but you may want to upgrade your version of phpBB so that someone else can't do it either, assuming they haven't already. Just thought I might let you know. That's the stuff we did for fun in the olden days of TTI though, so no worries. DCI 4evar.

I was there when Ragnar and them stood atop the universe. o/

I remember those nights mining next to the greats... I remember the 14 jump hauling trips I had to make on those remote mining ops... those where the days when people like TankCEO hadn't ruined the game with lameness and...ermm.. yeah.

Plus, I thought the domain name thing was taken care of?

Well I have no comments on that bill for "extraordinary services", but we did bond nicely that evening.

Hey Yosh! Glad to hear you are doing fine :) JEDI and the dutch nuts sends their regards.

Oh, officially JEDI does not regret shooting Mark A when CA and XF was in war, he took out our kestrel and paid the price... The lesson here to be told, never put your CEO in any ship that doesn't know how to handle the force.. :P

Yes, it's a good idea to take care of that soon. I have run many forums over the years and the older version are pretty vulnerable to exploits since they are widely published relatively quickly after they are found.

Just some free advice from a fellow forum host. :)

And yet no one still has done anything about it. Must not matter to them that much. :: shrug ::

There's only one person I know with the access to do such, and I haven't seen him around much.
