TTI is known for its intellectuals. This is a place for thinkers to gather and exchange quotes, thoughts, or other topics that might not appeal to the average gamer.

Strategic Alliance

Post by Jeb Maladaar »

Hello, Taggart Transdimentional. I was unable to locate a D'Anconia Mining department head to send this to specifically, so those of you that don't need to be reading this can just as well ignore it, I suppose.

My name is Jeb Maladaar. I am a 4th generation owner and operator of Maladaar Mining which sounds much more impressive than it is. Truth be told, my family has been a bunch of rock haulers since back in the days of the war and have never much known anything else. Our 'fleet' (what's left that hasn't been blasted to scrap by raiders and pirates) consists of a couple worn out frigates and a rusty industrial-class II. But, that's neither here nor there.

The short of it is, I'm the first one in a long time to have made it to the academy for a bit more of an education than previous generations in my family. Not to fault them. I've never known a harder worker than my father and grandpap, but their focus on the business is as straight and unchanging as the warp path they have run every day for nearly 100 years. They always felt that hard work was all you need. (As you might see in their 'oh-so-clever' slogan for Maladaar Mining.)

Anyhow, like I said, I learned quite a bit at the academy, including some good lessons in economics and ways to do more than just work hard - ways to also work smart and get the most return on your effort. In one of my classes, the professor was using your company as a case study and talked about how you encourage individuals to improve themselves and their own ventures as they also aid TTI. I liked what I heard about you and am interested in applying the services of Maladaar Mining under the guidance of your D'Anconia Mining department. I can be reached at jmaladaar@maladaarmining.com and I assume there will be data to be transferred and forms to be submitted if anyone has any interest in this offer.
