Hello Folks

TTI is known for its intellectuals. This is a place for thinkers to gather and exchange quotes, thoughts, or other topics that might not appeal to the average gamer.

Hello Folks

Post by BerekHalfhand »

Just been reading your forums and have to say great read, need to get my thinking cap on if i'm going to chat in deep thoughts.

Just a little about myself now.

Earlier today I was chatting to Patter Sandstad after posting in the recruitment channel and he said i should drop on by. He invited me into ur public channel and a talked for a short time with Oleksandr.

I'm now thinking about going through your recruitment cycle but before that i thought i would let all know abit about me.

I'm a 39 year old Scotsman and at present work in the Royal Air Force in the North of Scotland, this i have been doing for 18 years now. I've been playing, if u can call it that, EVE for just over 1 and a half years now. I was dragged in to this world by a few work mates, who have gone their own way now (lets just say they are no on the dark side), its never applealed to me destroying rather than building and helping.

I have 2 accounts one BerekHalfhand (whos my main combat and support character) and Q realease who's my miner producer. Berek has 12 mil sp and Q has 10 mil sp. I have mostly worked as a freelancer and have indeed enjoyed this life but of late the corp i am at present in has been rather sparse in the logging on thing, often find myself the only one on.

I love the social and wide appeal of working in groups and interacting with others. I lived and worked in 0.0 before and enjoyed ops from mining to security.

I'm a keen runner and hill walker, love reading and have a BSC in IT. I have played online games for about 5 years now started with EQ, then BF2 and afew others, but as most EVE'ers do find that i cant leave this game alone.

Sorry for rambling on, hope this lets you know who I am abit and I would be greatful for any feed aback, as i think I would really like to contribute to what looks like one fine corp.

I have one question do you use TS/Vent?

Yours Berek (real name Gordon)

Welcome to the forums Berek, from a yank with Scotts and Indian heritage. I hope you do decide to apply to TTI, it would be good to have a local contact for the single malts. Living on the Mexican border I can offer high end Tequilla in exchange.

I think right now our aliance is using ventrillo, but we've used TS in the past. And ofcourse soon CCP is going to make Eve Speak part of the subscription for everyone.... right? Not!

That's not rambling, man. :) That's a useful report.

TTI is indeed about productivity. We are about far more thing in philosophical terms, which you have likely picked up from reading our website.

We use Ventrillo for our operations.

"Objectivism is not only true, it is great! Why? Because of the volitional work a mind must have performed to reach for the first time so exalted a level of truth—and because of all the glorious effects such knowledge will have on man’s life, all the possibilities of action it opens up for the future." -- Leonard Peikoff

as a matter of fact, CCP is adding an additional eve speak service for corporations from what I heard about trial extensions. However, no CCP will not be including eve speak with subscriptions as the voice software is not owned by CCP however they have a license agreement to incorporate it into the EVE client/activation system etc thus the $10/yr which could be added to the EVE monthly subscription fee. It would be a bit more difficult to add it to bulk time purchases such as 90 day, 6 month and 12 months but not so really for 12 month packages, just buy the eve voice and the 12 month game time and ya have it all made.
