I came across this novel set of Mr Diety short films as I was perusing the Skeptic Society web page. The 2 to 5 minute films have the same main character God, as he deals with various issues related to life, the universe and everything. Funny stuff that I thought Objectivists might like.
The actor that plays Mr. Diety looks like George Lucas the guy that created Star Wars. And Mr. Diety’s lines sound much like a pompous Hollywood producer. If nothing else I thought the films were a funny parody of the movie industry.
The concept for the films and the writing really grew on me. From a Christian perspective, God created man in his own image. Here an artist has created God in man’s image. And as the characters work through the topics they manage to both find a great deal of humor, but also raise significant questions and issues.
The link below will take you to the first episode, and if you leave it running the subsequent episodes will auto run. There are now ten episodes in total. Enjoy.

Mr. Diety
Seems to be a corollary here… The more devout a worshiper is – less sense of humor they have about religious matters. It is almost like there is an un-stated eleventh commandment,
- “Thou shall not laugh about the Lord thy God.”
