Hello

Post by Calthrop »

Hello, my character's name is Calthrop. I've been playing Eve for a several months now, and have just found this corporation via the Warp Drive Active podcast. I'm very happy to have found a group people who share my interest in Ayn Rand's books established in my favorite game. I've already sent an email to recruitment, and look forward hopefully joining the TTI corporation in-game. A little background about myself, I discovered Ayn Rand after reading Terry Goodkind's books. Over several years in my youth reading Goodkind's books I realized that my faith in Christianity may not be as well founded as I had been raised to believe, and started to do some more research into that vein of thought. In the subsequent years I discovered Ayn Rand's books and have embraced reason, truth, and self-interest ever since. I am 23 years old and currently live in the Eastern US(-5 GMT) timezone. I play Eve mostly on the weekends, and also play in the evening several days during the week. With the summer season and warmer weather a bit of my game time is currently taken up by yard work and such, but I'm still online quiet often.

I keep seeing positive references to Terry Goodkind... I'll have to check out some of his books sometime.

Greetings, Calthrop. I too liked the Sword of Truth series, but I found the first books much better than the later ones. Faith of the Fallen was probably the last one I really liked, and Stone of Tears was probably the single best book in the series. I just found it got pedantic and preachy towards the end and was just covering the same ground over and over again. Looking forward to reading your app, have fun with the questions.
