Greetings ladies and gentlemen of Taggart Transdimensional!
I'm Phoenix Blackball. I was born in the Caldari State, descending from a line of merchants and industrialists. My personal heroes include Henry Hazlitt, Sun Tzu, and Nicollo Machiavelli. I'm a mission runner by trade, earning my isk in employment to the Amarr Empire.
At a young age, I joined the Israli Space Corporation because I was intrigued by their recruitment pitch invoking the ideals if individual liberty and property rights. That corporation fell apart when the CEO took an extended and unexplained leave of absense.
From there, I sought active employment from the 24th Imperial Crusade with the intention of getting combat experience. During my time in the crusade, I discovered that the militia was infested with spies and generally unable to defend itself against its adversaries from the Republic.
So I joined up with a corporation named Paladin Order, part of Tread Alliance, who resided in Providence under the control and protection of Curatores Veritatis Alliance. As you all undoubtedly know, Providence was recently sieged by Ushra'Khan and its Southen Coalition allies. Tread stuck by their friends throughout the Providence war, but were ultimately unable to defeat the overwhelming combined force of the Southen Coalition invaders. Now that the war has come to an unfavorable conclusion, Tread is in the midst of an internal identity crisis. I'm beginning to get the impression that there exists an irreconcilable difference of opinion among various individuals on the subject, and that can only lead to one outcome.
Also, I recently got into a debate with my fellow corporation mates concerning the immorality of a ship replacement program funded by mandatory player contributions. I'm the only one who sees it that way, and unfortunately I've been unable to make anyone see things from my point of view. It was then that I realized that Taggart Transdimensional might be a better fit for me than my current situation.
I do have a few questions for you, though, before I make a decision to apply.
What are your rules of engagement? (NBSI vs NRDS)
What timezone are you most active in? What is your level of activity in other timezones?
Who are your allies and enemies?
Do you have any plans to take and hold sovereignty?
Why does your forum have a light grey background and light blue and white text? That makes it practically unreadable.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sadly this type of slavery arrangement is one of the main methods PvPs corps must resort to in order to cover their operating costs. For them it is a necessary evil, but that does not make it any less evil.Phoenix Blackball wrote:Also, I recently got into a debate with my fellow corporation mates concerning the immorality of a ship replacement program funded by mandatory player contributions. Generally NRDS, unless you are in a special territory like a low sec, 0.0 or WH space that is being defended. This is my historical reflection, but the CEO sets current policy.Phoenix Blackball wrote:I do have a few questions for you, though, before I make a decision to apply.

we are global, times really depend more on the current composition of actives. We have no mandatory corp op times.Phoenix Blackball wrote:What timezone are you most active in? What is your level of activity in other timezones?
Privileged intel on both. But I would share, we have a very limited war history, and generally do not initiate wars. When wars have come to our door step the war generally has cost our opponent more in isk and boredom than it has cost TTI.Phoenix Blackball wrote:Who are your allies and enemies?

It has morphed around though the years. It’s a style choice, sorry it is hard to read.Phoenix Blackball wrote:Why does your forum have a light grey background and light blue and white text? That makes it practically unreadable.
I’m checking out Henry Hazlitt, I had not heard of him before your citation. Nice that many of his books are available in .pdf format on Wikipedia. The book titles certainly look interesting. I wonder if Hazlitt and Ayn Rand were friends?

Re: Phoenix Blackball
Yes, they were. Hazlitt introduced Rand to Ludwig Von Mises and the Austrial school of economics. They didn't always agree on everything, but Rand strongly endorsed the austrian economists' writings throughout her career.musashi wrote:I wonder if Hazlitt and Ayn Rand were friends?
If you'd like to read something by Hazlitt, I recommend "Economics in One Lesson". It's a concise and easily readable explanation of why economic interventionism always fails. It's available in .pdf format from the Foundation for Economic Education, which Hazlitt founded.

If you had to pick one timezone when you have the most players online, which would it be?musashi wrote:we are global, times really depend more on the current composition of actives. I don't need any specifics. I just want to know if you have any plans to take sovereignty at all, regardless of whom you're planning on taking it from.Privileged intel on both. NBSI
What timezone are you most active in? What is your level of activity in other timezones?
USTZis active, low in EU
Who are your allies and enemies?
none worth mentioning for either
Do you have any plans to take and hold sovereignty?
we aren't interested in taking sov space. TTI is a WH focused corp
Why does your forum have a light grey background and light blue and white text? That makes it practically unreadable.
