Hello,
I am a long time player of Eve. I currently have 36 million sp, and I am returning to the game after an 8 month hiatus. Without preaching to the choir too much, I will admit that while the idea of 'potential' found only in this game seems to be completely lost on the majority of its playerbase. I blame the leaders of the organizations for blindly building tried-and-failed structures, and I blame the players that willingly walk into these organizations knowing it is not going to be an enjoyable, profitable, or empowering experience.
I for one, refuse to enlist.
I understand what it takes both financially and ethically what it takes to have the freedom to do with my life as I see fit.
I have, and always will do whatever it takes to achieve my goals, which will be much higher on my priority list than anyone else's even if I have to make a conscious decision to mask this truth from current or prospective 'employers'.
I understand the instinctual and functional urge to care for and empathize with my fellow man, but not at the expense of my well-being.
I am extremely fortunate to have found this group of people, and while on the surface, it seems to be in the least likely of places, but after thinking about it briefly, makes perfect sense.
Eve to me, should only be played with such philosophies applied.
As for me, I am 33, enjoying this short life, engaged to a like minded and beautiful woman, happily embracing atheism, currently back in school for a degree in computer engineering, in my third year of Muay Thai training, and I have Louis C.K.'s "Hilarious" on constant repeat..... pretty much all the time.
That's about as brief as I can be. I look forward to the future.
Brief Introduction

Yes, I admit my definition of 'brief' differs greatly from most.redhotrebel wrote:Your title was misleading... I suppose I'll welcome you to the forums anyways cause I'm a giver
The length of my posts are directly proportional to the amount of caffeine in my bloodstream at the time.
Caffeinated walls of text ftw.
