Coming Out of Retirement

Heya Folks:

I have come out of retirement and reapplied to TTI. I probably will not be online too much as my time is limited, but I like this game too much to not play at all. :) I will make every effort to contribute when I am on. Currently, I am marooned far away from all of you and it will take a bit of effort to return.

As a little background, I joined TTI soon after release, and then disappeared from Eve in early October for personal reasons--70-80 hour work weeks caused a lot of stress and a lack of desire to be on a computer for yet another 3-4 hours per night. So, I cancelled my subscription in December.

Back then, Berd was a miner/hauler with aspirations of becoming an industrialist. He was rather quiet on the airwaves because he is shy, and a lousy typist. :) So I hope that some of you "old" folk remember me. My intention for the second round it to becaome a pure industrialist, but still retain my mining/hauling ways as a secondary income source.

Anyway I look forward to seeing all of you in game and meeting those who I have not met before (not to state the obvious or anything ;) ).

Regards,

Berd - you might be pleased to hear that we have voice comms now so your typing might not be a problem....

I hope you have a headset

If we're thinking of getting a headset, what brand would you recommend?

I have one of those too... mine's neck-mounted so I can use it in combination with my Sennheiser headphones.

I actually found out that my plantronics headset's mic didn't go bad and that it was my soundblaster audigy card's mic port that went bad. Having found this information out, I suggest Plantronics because I've had this headset for a while now.

Logitech headset with an Nvidia Nforce MCP sound works very well. Clear sounds and very good mic response. I even use it to tune my guitar
