Application for defense sector

TTI is known for its intellectuals. This is a place for thinkers to gather and exchange quotes, thoughts, or other topics that might not appeal to the average gamer.

Application for defense sector

Post by alaphforce »

Replanted here on advice from Emizzon

Required Information:
Handle: Alaph Force
TTI Division: Mulligan Defense
Email: -- Sent with the email application --
Age: 26
Location: South Korea
Timezone: (GMT +8 )

My story is this: Im a medic in the US Army deployed to Korea. Instead of bar hopping and cheating on my wife (this is a VERY common thing in Korea) I play online games (well game until a week ago when I started EVE). I have a degree in philosophy and my major interests where cognative psy, political theory, math theory, and eastern religions.
I am the worlds worst speller. I love to have fun but can also get into the serious mode if need be.

Well I guess thats it, hope to join your ranks and see you in game.
Cheers

Forgot to mention alaph is not a miss spelling of alpha but rather a miss spelling of aleph meaning infinity.

Wow I didn't say anything about my character

I'm playing Alaph Force the daughter of a mining father and transport mother. AF was taught the basics of these skills in preperation to start her formal education on her 12th birthday. The toa would flow in with a different path as pirates ambushed her parents while they where preping a shipment of rare ore in 0.0. With the death of her parents as the impetous AF enrolled in the Federal Naval Acadamy with hope of earning her fighter pilot wings.
The Naval Academy provided her with only the barest of skills and not much in the way of a ship. After realizing that she would be spending years as a miner before she was ever allowed to fly even the lightest of escort ships. Needless to say she did not re-up and instead has headed out to find the training and work she truly loves.

Good to see people providing a back story for their characters! I wish more people would do that. Good luck with your application.

Thanks all, the more I read about your Corp and the philosophy behind it the more I hope that this works to my favor. Add to that your defense sector is run by actual mil personel and WOW baby. :D

errr 'eem That part of the website is a little out of date....

GunnyP is actually in game on an infrequent basis right now. In RL he's just about to finish his BA degree, full time military and raising a family. We don't se him much in game, but he's with us in spirit and on the forums!

Even if he does have a predilection for a pink singlet and pointy ears (Gunny likes to play WoW too).

Actually MarkA is our front line PvPer right now, and he’s really good at it.

hmmm, well I still like the idea of a defense sector based off of real military guide lines. Im planning on doing a covert ops specialisation so I hope there is a need for that.

Still haven't heard from recruiting, but patients is a virtue, or so Ive been told

Oh yes, definite needed. Covert Ops is a valuable skill to have for traveling between our empire base and our bases in deep 0.0 space. It can also be very profitable. :D

Once you're accepted into TTI you might enjoy reading my manifesto! I can autograph one if you like.

There are several of us that have the skill and equipment, and I think it’s a very useful skill to develop early in the game. Maneuver is a vital element of any battle plan!

Musashi,

Where's the manifesto? I want to read your manifesto. I didn't know that you had written a manifesto. I REALLY enjoy saying the word "manifesto". So where is it? Huh?

Cant wait to find out if I cut the mustard as they say. Cheers.

HAHA I am in, show me to the your rich bounties and advanced mechanomen!!!

Accepted my ingame application a few short minutes ago and now I proudly wear the TTI corprate insignia.
So whats next?
In game:
I gotta move. Time for a yard sale.
Learn my new area, the markets , the local hot spots, ect.

Out of Game:
I guess I need to get into the corporate forums and get me one of them little card thingies. Question here, does the card insignia work on the EVE forums?

Oh well at any rate: go forth and make profit. MWAHAHAHAHA.

or in my case KILL THINGS FOR PROFIT

Grats, Alaph.

The card works in other forums too if you set it up correctly.

There is a very complete guide to setting up you TeamSpeak if you have not used it before. You will need to get the IP addy for the TS server from one of us while in game in corp chat.

See you soon!
