As relates to Eve, the unique characteristic that sets me apart is my past experience with various different types of characters. In a past account, I've gone from gentle empire miner to a hardcore member of Goonswarm, fighting BoB between angel ratting sessions in a Raven. (Unfortunately, I sold the account after I thought I grew tired of the game - big mistake.) For this reason, although I wouldn't qualify myself as having extensive PvP experience (a few fleet ops in a raven does not a pirate make), I nonetheless feel I have a fair level of experience in most sectors of the game. Additionally, I have a fair amount of experience in many different MMO's, as I started online gaming in the days of Ultima Online, and haven't made significant strides towards quitting ever since.What are your unique characteristics that set you apart from most people? As relates to my personal life, I feel I have a fairly developed sense of rationality. I am currently seeking degrees in both Mathematics and Economics, both of which are deductive disciplines, and both of which lead me towards a rejection of inductive thought processes and to favor a more abstract method of thought. I have spent a small portion of time studying Ayn Rand, incorporating many philosophies of Objectivism into my own personal system of beliefs, and to this extent I think I would make a good addition in terms of uniformity of ideals. I believe in liberty, efficiency, and good will, three principles which I feel will be rather well satisfied by the structure of TTI.
Eve is simply the most well designed game on the market. To put it simply, all massively-multiplayer RPG's fall into two categories - there are the sandbox games and the everquest games. In Everquest games, you (the player) get to explore a vast themepark of gimmicks and rides hand-crafted by the developer to create pleasurable signals in your brain. In a sanbox game, such as EVE Online, you, the player, are the one making your own themepark, changing it constantly to match whatever mood you find most appropriate. In this way, Eve accomplishes what few games accomplish - true player-developed content. This is what I seek, a game that I can make my own.Why are you playing EVE?
I am rather interested not only to take part in the expirement, but also to meet like-minded individuals with a similar stance on what it should mean to be a member of a corporation. I can certainly feel a strong vibe of individuality that entices me, as I feel I don't fit terrifically well into most corporations that attempt to narrowly define a role that I need to fill for that corporation. From my experience, most corporations either try to define a narrow role, or have very little to offer in terms of intra-corp interaction. From what Taggart Transdimensional seems based on, I believe this mold has more than the capacity to break free of the aforementioned disturbing trend, and perhaps allow individual pilots to explore their preferred method of contribution while still retaining cohesiveness as a corporation.Why are you applying to Taggart?
