Greetings

I spoke with a few of you last night with regards to potential recruitment. I've recently returned to the game after about a year off, and have been seriously looking for a corporation (for the first time in my EVE history) for about a week.
You were one of the first corporations to peak my interest, and, after having interviewed with many others, remained one of the most intriguing. However, I had some apprehension about joining an organization based on the ideas of Rand - not because of any fundamental disagreement with those ideas, but because it, like any other radical ideaology, can often attract the overzealous and intolerant; at least this has been my personal real-life experience.
So it was with some trepidation that I joined the TAGGART channel and introduced myself, and I was foremost intent on getting a sense of how well I might fit in, not being especially opinionated toward or against the subject matter. I'm glad to report that I made the acquaintence of some intelligent (expected) and humorous (unexpected) folks who were more than willing to answer my questions and discuss our viewpoints objectively, with no apparent urge to force me to agree with theirs (which would have been unnecessary, as it turns out, because I do agree with much of Rand's sentiments in relation to an EVE corporation model).
So I've filled out an application and am currently awaiting a response. I'm leaning heavily toward joining you, provided of course that I'm welcome. I expect that it will be an interesting endeavor to put Rand's ideas into practice in a controlled, micro-environment like EVE, and all the more so with a group of creative, engaging people who are primarily out to have some fun.
Whether or not I indeed find myself in your company, I wish you all luck and success out there, and am happy to have met you.
