State in one sentence what the purpose of life is

as the old thread says, it may be helpful to first identify "meaning", and what "life" is.

OK I'll start the thread a gain with my own opinion:


Have fun and stay a happy person

The purpose of life is a test to see who deserves ever-lasting happiness.... or maybe life is a test of our patience... or maybe one great waste of time. Either way, sex and booze is cool, getting ganked is not

good dentistry
soft toilet tissue
and a nice cave to sleep in

on earth the answer might be - to produce copies of the genome for a species.

You might think this isn't very a deep thought, but it's an observed fact.

The purpose of the short 80 - 90 year life we know as a human's on earth is to prepare for the afterlife, which is much, much longer.

The meaning of life is to live.

Does that mean then we should play eve? or not play eve?

To live is to fill your day with Joy. Joy is not not playing computer games, beleive me, I stopped for 2 months and didnt like it

I think that the purpose of life is to be yourself. That's everything! Can you do that? However, that which should be the easiest is the most difficult thing to do.
I am not sure if everyone will know what I am talking about, since to be yourself you have to know yourself. Learning about yourself will most likely involve facing your fears, questioning your beliefs and letting go of the past. Since everybody is suffering in this world, on a different levels of course, but suffering non the less, it is a very hard thing to do. Most of us live in the past and therefore perceive the present through the experiences of the past. If paid close attention to one's strong reactions and understanding the reasoning, an unpleasant incident can be turned into wisdom, liberation of the self and most importantly knowledge about the self.

To gain, evolve and transfere information (experiences, knowledge, manners, etc.) for the purpose of perfecting your species.

To do unto others before they get wise and do unto you.

Not Dying.

To earn complete independence, always.

To die.
