Initial Introductory Introduction

Post by Winston Agittain »

Hello All,

I'm a complete Eve novice, having only been playing for four days, and on a trial account. I'll be upgrading to a full account shortly, as I've already found myself anxiously awaiting the end of the work day so I can rush home and log in. I'm at the office right now as a matter of fact, having spent a good chunk of the morning researching the right Eve Corporation for my Character. I think I've found it in Taggart Trans.

Understandably, Taggart will not consider my application before 15 days of in game activity, but I figured I'd jump the gun and get the application process underway.

By day I'm a 26 year old agricultural and trade economist based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I have no pets, aside from the bacterial cultures that grow in my travel mug when I leave it at the office for a few days. They're fuzzy, sure, but they're not really interactive.

At this point in my in-game experience I haven't quite decided what I'd like to do with my character, and have spent a majority of my time learning all the I can from tutorial agents. I've also raised a little bit of capital in the process, but I'm at a loss as to what to do with it.

While I appreciate the reality of PVP, I'm not a big fan. Large scale warfare, historically, has not been a lucrative business. Taggart's positioning as a corporation with a capitalistic focus is in line with my own preferences. Profit is most often found through creation, not destruction. I'll admit, however, that sometimes you have to destroy in order to create. The company's rigorous application process, corporate history, institutional memory and structured hierarchy inherently imply a stable and prosperous organization - What's not to like?

Looking forward to creating profits with Taggart employees in the near future.

Regards,

Winston Agittain
