Hello Taggart

Hello folks, my name is Zalmun, and I'm interested in joining your corporation. A bit about myself:
I've been playing EVE on again, off again, for about 4-5 years or so, having joined some RL friends initially for different ventures, but mostly just being a solo player. Over time I've primarily been an Industrialist, getting into mining, hauling, and finally trading as my primary activity, which has been very lucrative and profitable for me. As a result, I'm pretty much self sufficient for any ventures I can handle solo, being only limited by willingness to delve into more dangerous areas.
As for my history, I started off in high sec as a miner and hauler, as well as doing missions and standings grinding until I could do perfect refining. At some point some of my RL friends were part of a 0.0 corp in the drone regions, part of Ethereal Dawn. I joined them for a time, but lost interest after a few months, starting my first break from EVE.
After a time I came back, moved back to high sec and started seriously into trading, which has made me self sufficient for skills, ships, and anything I want to play with as a solo character. I wanted to try some active 0.0 play as part of one of the big alliances, so I worked on joining Goonswarm through the Something Awful forums, and eventually joined once I felt I was ready. It was a fun few weeks (during the Delve invasion), but ultimately didn't last as I was kicked, probably due to suspicion of spying (didn't pass the 'smell' test). At that point I was disillusioned with EVE and decided to quit.
I came back to EVE in 2010 at Christmas time, mostly because I had a long vacation in RL, but also because I was interested in doing trading again, and trying out the new planetary interaction. Even when I wasn't playing I'd be reading blogs through Capsuleer, which I'm sad to see died out. I've been interested in trying out WH operations for a while, but never really had the nerve to try anything out on my own. I'd definitely be interested in participating in corp operations, at the very least to experience new aspects of the game.
About myself in RL: I'm a software developer for a major oil & gas company in Alberta, Canada, working on industrial control systems and such. I'm 36 years old, and my hobbies are pretty much games and movies, as well as hobby coding of whatever suits my fancy at the time. That's another reason I wanted to play EVE again, which allows me to experiment with the EVE API to track my financial gains.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
Cheers,
