Embracing Selfishness

Hello. I have a toon named Gunivar I created in 2005. After playing for several months I quit; my life was changing and I had no time for EVE.

In 2010 I saw adverts for EVE online and decided to return to the game. There had been many developments, including more opportunities to generate wealth without interference with or from others. I neural remapped to focus on industrial skills and began training in earnest to become a producer. Upon learning about opportunities in WH I joined a corp get access to one, despite a ludicrous tax rate (20%) on WH export.

However in the month I've been with them it has become obvious their goals are not mine. The pilots are PVP oriented and frequently raid in 0.0. I invested several hours in mining ABC ores, only to have them hauled by another. When I contacted the director of mining he said he "didn't know" where they were, and could I not "be a prick" for expressing anger at this incompetence. The CEO considers my aversion to PVP cowardice.

That's the history. As for now... I own and fly industrial ships (Mammoth, Hulk, soon Noctis). I have a BC and BS, as well as several T2 Minmatar frigs. I have a real interest in the industrial side of EVE. My focus is industrial production, with a secondary focus on research. If I were accepted into Taggart, my goal would be to produce ships and mods, giving priority access to Taggart members.
