TTI allies with C4 and, by association, CA. I must withdraw

Under the present circumstances, I cannot consider membership in TTI.
My personal standards will not allow me to consort with known thugs, griefers and pirates, even at two removes.

Your change of heart is unfortunate. I feel that your view of the CA is inaccurate; nonetheless, I wish you the best of luck in finding the right corp and in your future in eve.

Sorry that you feel that way.
I disagree that we are taking friendship with "griefers and thugs", but you are entitled to your opinion.
Good luck in your future endeavours.

I think you should reconsider and hold off being judgemental. TTi will remain a pirate clean corporation, let alone one of thugs and griefers.

I think you should know Mr. MacCool that I am a Marine in real life and have been for almost 18 years. The Marines have a code of conduct, as you well know. For those of you who don’t know I’ll spell it out.
HONOR as defined as: Integrity, responsibility, accountability
COURAGE as defined as: Do the right thing, in the right way, for the right reasons
COMMITMENT as defined as: Devotion to the Corps and my fellow Marines
Furthermore, Marines…
1. Obey the law
2. Lead by example
3. Respect themselves and others
4. Maintain a high standard of integrity
5. Support and defend the constitution
6. Uphold special trust and confidence
7. Place faith and honor above all else
8. Honor fellow Marines, the Corps, Country, and Family
That is not just a “punch line” to me… I live my life like that… and I lead Taggart Transdimensional following those guidelines. If I was not, we would have never recovered from the Venal conflict.
I would urge you to speak to me in game before you make your final decision regarding this issue. I have read your application and would love to have you join us… besides it would be great to have another Marine in TTI.
I await your private message.

...psst! He joined the dubious Celestial Apocalypse!

Yes, I did join Celestial Apocalypse...and the instant they appear 'dubious' to me, I will leave them.
I was looking forward to membership in TTI as I hold them in very high regard. The announcement that TTI had joined C4 threw me for a loop.
The association of the founding corps of C4 with CA and the 'dubious' reputation of CA caused me to step back and take time to reevalute my heretofore negative attitude toward CA and what TTI's, admittedly distant, association with them means.
I STILL hold TTI in the highest regard. I'm just confused about the ramifications of their association with C4. I'm not alone in this confusion as numerous forum posts attest. Being a dumb Irish kid, I'll need some time to sort it out.
GunnyP and I share a background as Marine NCO's. I needn't explain to him the pervasive effect our sense of honor has on all of our decisions or our willingness to bear the consequences. It's imprinted on our cells from our earliest days. We aren't perfect. If we were we could walk on water and we wouldn't need a Navy anymore:) But we do try to live up to some very high standards.
GunnyP can expect a private conversation from me. I know I can expect to have the scuttlebutt cleared up and hear the real Word. I'll reserve final judgement until then.

When i was amongst the world of eve there seemed to be no alliance that was filled completely with saints.
TTI itself was not filled with saints , but if you yourself play with a code of conduct and help the TTI today play with that (as Gunny is doing) then you bring yourself above the people who play with no moral code.
In short what i'm saying is that in TTI you can do great things and you should not judge an entire alliance on a few individuals.
You probabaly have no idea who I am but I have seen the changes in the eve world and at one time i chose to leave TTI and If i was playing now I would want to be tied to TTI again in some way as it has gone through many changes and I like where it has ended up. The old geezers here know who I am

Wow. I didnt know exactly what the marine 'code' was, and that they live by it in and out of the military. You guys are examples, and are watched by all of us citizens when your in your uniforms, walking around town.
I'm extremely proud of the men i've seen/gotten to know in RL, and lift my hat to ya'll in the service of our country. Makes me feel even better about ya'll with that code spelled out, and the commitment both gunnyp and mr.maccool have demonstrated to the that code. 8)

As a member of the Curse Alliance and the C4 i am dissapointed on your decision, however i must urge you to reconisder your opinion on the CA or at least hold off on it until you have a further understanding on what the CA is.
Yes it likes a fight, yes it has a lot of people who have pirated before and yes we have the odd forum troll (
). Regardless of this, we are still a nice bunch of people, we play with more honour than any other alliance in the game, we have renounced piracy.
Even if this still does not make you comfortable with the CA, then consider this - As a member of TTI you would not be a member of the Curse Alliance. Granted you'd be a member of C4, who in turn is allied with and has joint membership with some corps of the CA. However those corporations within the C4 are amongst the most honourable and decorated in eve. Omega corp prides itself on being Anti-Pirate, we never exploit (i recall several occations in CFS when a tactic related to a log off trap and we opted against it, for example) and most importantly value our allies and members highly.
Comming to the C4 and TTI would certainly, in my honest (granted biased) opinion, spice up and make more of your eve experience.
If you continue to stay with Celes then god speed there, there a good bunch of lads also i must say.

Yes. Over here they teach writing and reading, rather than the other way around. It causes all sorts of problems.
