Re: Logic: Physical or Metaphysical?
Hmm, I'm not a very deep thinker or logical person, though of course like everyone I employ logic frequently. (even if its flawed) Not that I can really explain why, but it seems to me that logic, like math exist whether or not humans exist, sort of a fundamental law of the physical universe we live...

… The majority of alliance diplomacy has focused on finding the adversary with the most active pilots to target. Upside down from RL the alliances are actually seeking fights. Isk they have, targets they seek. So true, because this is a game, for some players accumulation of wealth is a 2ndary conc...

Exactly, back in those days it was Nazi or Commie Totalitarians, nowadays it's Islamic Totalitarians. So, why do say you don't know who is the enemy? You are basically accepting the self-sacrifial premise, that after one country develops a mud pile that shoves bombs at you and kills you, it's someh...

Same dilemma in Vietnam 40 years ago, no way to tell who the enemy is, which is an unwinnable war IMO. Lol, seriously? Have you ever read what Islam imams say in Iran? Or what Iranian president says? Or what Islamic Republic of Iran did in '79? Or who funded Beirut explosion that killed 260+ US sol...

Same dilemma in Vietnam 40 years ago, no way to tell who the enemy is, which is an unwinable war IMO. It leaves you with two choices, either withdraw and let them sort the mess out themselves, or second, prosecute the war against the entire population and be labeled monsters in the eyes of the civil...

I'd have to agree, most of our members are capitalistic, while not always necessarily being strict Objectivists.
I'd classify almost everyone as strong individualists who place a high value on self sufficiency.

Re: The Situation in Pakistan
While I agree that Islam seems to have a greater proportion of radicals pent on killing others, many faiths have extremists in their midst yet I don't think its quite fair to paint all believers with the same brush. I'm a Christian and of course, there is much evil in its history and even in the fai...

And I certainly can't agree with that definition of man as humans appear to be anything but rational at times.
Perhaps that needs to be amended to read "potentially rational animal?
But certainly a much better definition than what you could ascribe to "God"
