UK Elections, who did you want to win?

Another victory (allbeit a narrow majority) for Phony Tony and the not-quite-left-not-quite-right-not-quite-central party due to 'I vote Labour because my Dad always said the working class should vote Labour..." electorate mentality.

In an election where most of the electorate either voted on a single issue or on heritage, who did you want to win and why? And when do you think Tony Blair should resign to give Gordon Brown a solid chance of winning the next election?

With Michael Howard standing down as leader of the Conservative Party in August due to his age and defeat, who do you think would be best equipped to lead the Tories into the next general election, Dr Liam Fox, David Davis or Malcolm Rifkin?

With Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy's tactic of Tory 'decapatating' failing miserably, and achieving 62 seats so far compared to Labour's 355 and the Conservative's 197, what do you think of his statement that the Liberal Democrats are the only real alternative to Labour?

I thought MRLP was run by a cat, after Alan died(or was it someone else --- I forget).

Thats brillaint :D, love the way you put that.

I don't feel any of the parties stand for anything, none have my attention. To me the 3 are just very similar entities with no face or character. I'm glad that the country will continue to drudge on regardless of which of the 3 win. At least the BNP have character.

Well I don't know too much about the various parties, but it looks like the guy on the Queen Mother's right is signaling some form of protest.

What is that! In one stupid gesture this palace guard has compromised centuries of stoic tradition. I know one thing… When I do visit London for my first time, I am DEFINITELY keeping my distance during the changing of the guard.
Keep your sharpened steel sword, this wooden one will be all I need!

2 errors... 1, thats the Queen herself, the Queen mother died a year or two ago. 2, they aren't the guard's at the palace, my guess is that they are some Scottish army folk in parade dress. You can't miss the palace guards, they look like this:

Could this be some type of protest about the upcoming dissolution of the Scotish regiments, to be reformed into some type of super regiment? Whatever the case, this guy is obviously letting his feelings hang out.
