Top ten signs your Taggart app will be rejected
10: You found it hard to type the answers to the questionaire while wearing your eyepatch.
9: You missed the email reply to your application because of all the Obama 2008 mails in your inbox.
8: Your astrologer told you ... well, anything at all, really.
7: You're glad we sent you an email app and not a paper one because it reduces our "carbon footprint".
6: Your AIM handle is: PlatoCaveboy877.
5: You quote Spock from Star Trek in your app in order to answer a question.
4: You read a book by Immanuel Kant and didn't burn it afterwards and cleanse your eyes with bleach.
3: You've been playing EVE since beta and have spent most of that time hanging out in public channel "Taggart"... but you're not actually IN Taggart.
2: You don't have much time to play EVE because your modern art gallery show is next week and you're all out of random objects to pile together and the monkey who paints your canvases has the flu.
1: Your intro post on these forums has more than one page of responses to it.
Just thought I'd post this as a public service... for the good of the people.

Gosh, #3 wouldn't happen to actually refer to anyone, would it?
Re: Top ten signs your Taggart app will be rejected
I'm sure that it was an indivisible reference. It's likely not to be the first or the last.Ginuad Amarasen wrote:Gosh, #3 wouldn't happen to actually refer to anyone, would it?
Just call me Tyn!
-Or- high-protector of rational thinking, lord steward of things objective, lover of Babs, defender of anti-randroidism, his wholiness, Tynenor.
I prefer the latter.

If Tolmart doesn't have it in stock, you get a free shuttle!
(Must be something with a BPO cost of less than 20 mil. One shuttle a day and per an item.)

11. You put a reference to LOTR as your favorite book(s).
TTI Internal Security should have its own color. I like orange.

I still remember the applicant who broke #5; "The good of the many outweighs..."

Probably because they're damn good books and no one is going to dispute it I put em down too.
Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong.

I put it in mine... although it wasn't my 1st choice if that amounts to anything. The novels of Chris Bunch are awesome.
Re: Top ten signs your Taggart app will be rejected
lol, thanks I have my own top ten entry
I really do intend to get around to rejoining Taggart,
of course, my eve time is rather limited.
I'm a father now, and work a lot, so eve time is at a premium.
You may see me 'online' a lot, but I'm really mostly afk.
(so don't think I'm angry or something if you get no response from me)
Anyway, it seems the reborn Taggart under Petyr is really starting to get some critical mass

12. You are a terrible speller and you don't bother spell checking your app before you submit it. Pretty much every word processor and I think every browser has a built in spell checker now. There is really no excuse.

Great. I guess I shouldn't have put Karl Marx, Ben Bernanke, and Gene Roddenbury as my heroes.
And my typewriter didn't come with a spell checker...
I'm kidding, of course. The application process was a pleasnt and fun experience and I look forward to working with all of you if I am accepted.

I love it...LOL
May I add:
You think Al Gore deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for merely having a suggestion.
You feel guilty being rich, or not poor.

If you ask me to name the proudest distinction of Americans, I would choose- because it contains all the others- the fact that they were the people who created the phrase to make money. No other language or nation had ever used these words before; men had always thought of wealth as a static quantity- to be seized, begged, inherited, shared, looted or obtained as a favor. Americans were the first to understand that wealth has to be created

But arn't these the type of people you are looking for? Someone who can make a load of cash off of a bunch of junk with very little effort. It's like selling bottled water. These people are business geniuses.Petyr Baelich wrote: 2: You don't have much time to play EVE because your modern art gallery show is next week and you're all out of random objects to pile together and the monkey who paints your canvases has the flu.

LOL
Star Trek - The Wrath of Khan
Spock is in the radiation chamber dying and he says "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.. or one"
Then dies. Yay!
I only know this well because I have a fantastic memory for movies and that movie was actually well made.
Gene Rodenbery = Utopian Dreamer? or Socialist?
