New Guy at 2 O'Clock
New Guy at 2 O'Clock
Oi mates, game name is NV607. The name originated from when I played a lot of FPS's with friends and joked that this way they would be able to read the name of the guy who killed them when they were laying on their backs. Have been playing since I was a kid, everything from RTS's, FPS's, RPG's, and now MMORPG's. If you ever play with me you'll learn that my reflexes aren't what kills it's how I move. I am known among friends for my ability to appear behind my target while they're still spraying at my last position.
In Eve I've been less combative, I run an indy character who flies Orca and could start Capital Ship Construction if I had the BPO's to work with. My last corporation (Valhalla Space) Was an indy corporation I started that had a focused mining operation. At our height we had 30 people who had almost all been recruited from starting galaxies. Pulling in between 200 and 300 million weekly in ores from high sec I had the operation setup so that miners were paid per unit encouraging specialization in their chosen profession. Had an excel spreadsheet setup that allowed me to calculate current isk/meter and isk/unit on an as needed basis. Input data was simply current Jita sell rates and from there the formula instantly calculated what I owed each miner. I've gotten into Eve because it's the only game I've ever played where I have felt I can build something bigger than myself.
Now the real life me. I'm a 20 year old male student at Penn College in PA, in my second year of a physician's assistant major. Used to be a hippie (pauses for disgust to die down) and attended Warren Wilson College in North Carolina for a year. Found that for a people so self-righteous about everything they seemed to be a people who will never accomplish anything and so I cut my long hair and haven't looked back. Was there as an Outdoor Leadership major and have a vast amount of experience in mountaineering, kayaking, whitewater kayaking, and the like. I like bad puns and think balance is important in all aspects of life.

You can never pause long enough!Used to be a hippie (pauses for disgust to die down)
And hi btw
Re: New Guy at 2 O'Clock
*shrug* Could be worse I suppose. I had only ever been one of the outdoor hippies and never the feel good free love types. Only real thing that would've taken away the hippie part would've been if I had cut my hair earlier and done more hunting.
If it helps at all I went to the college partly for the triad program of work, service, and academics they had. Required 15 hours of work weekly around campus, hundred hours of community service before graduation, and ... academics speaks for itself. Work part was supposed to instill a good work ethic but instead it was like being stuck somewhere for 15 hours weekly since the campus didn't actually have 15,000 hours of work that students could do every week.

It wasn't 2 o'clock when you posted this. Not anywhere. In fact it was quarter to 9 server time. This makes you a liar.

Then he will fit in?Petyr Baelich wrote:It wasn't 2 o'clock when you posted this. Not anywhere. In fact it was quarter to 9 server time. This makes you a liar.

For whatever reason your server clock is 1 hour and 9 minutes behind my computer (and any other accurate clock in my area). This puts my posting time at 1:58 pm Eastern Time. A negligible difference.Petyr Baelich wrote:It wasn't 2 o'clock when you posted this. Not anywhere. In fact it was quarter to 9 server time. This makes you a liar.

Yeah I think he was a little premature with using the past tense about being a hippy...Petyr Baelich wrote:tbh I expected "That's not what I meant about 2 o'clock, retard". Just having a little fun, but the app was p. bad anyway. ::shrugs::
