The left attacking Ayn Rand

I got fired up like a forest fire after my long time professor of journalism, of all classes, posted this article on Ayn Rand with the comment: "I've taught students about Ayn Rand's philosophies of objectivism for years, but I would never have guessed that she didn't practice what she preached. Fascinating article!"

I unleashed a nasty followup to that, but it wasn't until I did a quick search online that I realized just how hard the left is desperately trying to mar the heroes of the past. The fact that they give her so much credit (granted, much of it is due) to the current politics, yet I would wager 9 out of 10 typical people on the street have no clue of who she is amazes me.

Left-wing intellectuals are in their death-throes. Their doctrines are failing all over the World [or poised to fail] and their method of argumentation is in the gutter, as this ad hominem shows.

It's just a shame we're bound to these cretins through government/taxation that burdens us and pays them to keep on writing such nonsense. When I grew up I knew several left-wingers who were open-minded, tolerant and intelligent - I don't know any who are like that any more.
