Greetings

Post by Eliss Wyatt »

Hi All,
My in game name is Ellis Wyatt. I was born in USSR, which later became Ukraine (though I speak Russian not Ukranian). Later my family emigrated to Israel, and from there we moved to England and finally to Canada (where I currently live).
I joined Eve just this weekend, as such I am still getting my head around the game. I've had my eye on Eve for a very long time, but for some reason I never joined. What peaked my interest in Eve is TTI. While browsing the Objectivism Online Forums, I came upon a post mentioning TTI, and having grown bored of my current games I decided to give Eve a go. So as soon my 15 day maturity expires I will be submitting an App (I would before, but I want to use the 15 days to get as much knowledge about the game as possible). On my personal goals of TTI, I want to be a great Industrialist, as such TTI would be a perfect place to conduct my business, with like-minded individuals.

My first impressions of Eve are pretty awesome. This game is definitely not your run-of-the-mill MMO. I can see how the game play might not appeal to a wide audience, I find it is great for teaching the art of patience, and fits my gameplay style. The game has so many concepts to learn and I found the tutorials to be very limited in scope (not to mention full of stuff they don't tell you that needs to be done to complete the mission). However an O'ist like me relishes in the opportunity to find my own way around instead of being handed out everything on a platform. So I am definitely glad I made the choice :).

While I am a noob in Eve, I consider myself an MMORPG senior. I have played Age of Conan, Warhammer, and WoW, with WoW being the most hardcore endgaming I've done. At my peak I raided 5-7 days a week, at least 3 hrs at a time each, I was a guild leader, then resigned to a raid leader (since my only reason for starting a guild in the first place was to raid, not to deal with stupid people), though the level of ineptness of the players led me to resign and join a top end raiding guild. Eventually with full time job I burnt myself out and quit MMO's, excluding Minecraft which is very casual (though addicting). I still play Minecraft on Ecocitycraft (It has an actual full economy, though it's not run as well I would like. still better than any other MC server). But Eve is my first foray into a real MMO for about 2.5 years :).
