I'm a brand new player to EVE who just upgraded from his trial account. Although I've been following the game for multiple years. I decided last week to stop observing and actually start participating. For me it's the unique players and corps (like Taggart) that draw me to EVE especially. Fully embracing the 'sandbox' experience and create your own subculture withing the game. In this case a collection of people who share the same idealogy. (And if your application process is truely notorious: I find that awesome too, although I think i've seen worse in other games.)
The rest of my application will follow during the next week, Im taking my time to read the application carefully and not miss any steps

P.S. there are some discrepancies in the information you provide through the ingame corp recruitment window, MOTD in chat channel, eve-mail mailing-list message, and on the website. I.e. the website says send the application to Redslay and Taggart HR, while ingame Stealthgogi is mentioned. People should be able to figure it out, but you might want to do a checkup on all the steps.
