Your mine-department..

Post by Tashima »

Hiya.

Short on me: I'm really new to EVE (couple of days left on 14 day free-account :)) but im probably going to give it a couple of month to see if i like it. I'm pretty sure that if im going to stay, what i want to do is to work in some corporation to try and organize and grow that. Find a org that thinks like me, start at the bottom and work myself up. EVE got enormus potential in teamwork and organization, and as far as I've seen, it's not utilized anywere near it's full potential.

I have some ideas for how to really optimize mining-operations and my current corp don't seem to think far/big enough for me to implement it there, besides i need to learn more about how other organizations handle their minig-operations (wich is what I'm most interested in atm)

So I'm basically looking for that corp. I came across Taggart Transdimensional and thought it looked promising. :D

So, I have a question.

How do Taggart organize mining? I assume many members join in different roles, but who can join? how many is normally involved in a corp. mining-operation? How often do you do it? How is the ore/income divided between participants? How much does the corp take? Maybe you guys have all this down so good my idea is superfluous. :?

Sorry, I would have replied sooner, but I was giving others a chance to answer this for you. We currently do not have a "someone" in charge of mining. It's more of a "initiative" call for mining ops. We do have a "standardized" method to mining ops, sort of a rough guideline if you will. However, it's up to the person calling the op to decalre any guidelines to how they would like to manage it.

Our most used method is a "You get what you put into it" method. Meaning, you get what you mine, minus the cost of the hauler they choose to use. My name is Emizzon ingame, if you wish to ask me any questions, I'll do my best to answer those for you, Evemail may be best as I do not have a set time that I'm ever on.
