My name is Hallax and I've been playing EVE since Aug '09, a little over a year. I'm formerly of TEARS alliance (Suddenly Ninjas) and I am now in a corp called Misfit Toys. The corp does hi sec wardecs and some other endeavors. The core group that started it has mostly trickled off into inactivity, leaving me and a few somewhat active members left. It usually ends up being me having to fight off WT's all by my lonesome. It's a rather bleak existence that has made me poor from lost ships and thus, as much I like the people, I need to look elsewhere.
I have always had a fascination for EVE. I actually started back in 2005, with a lame little hauler/mission runner that didn't know jack about PvP or anything else for that matter. I learned that new players could make really good isk being ninja salvagers, so I started a new character with that intent. I did it well, and got bored after about 10 months. Joined up with the former Ninjas CEO and that's where I find myself now.
Ninjas are generally pussies when it comes to PvP, but I did learn some valuable principles and would call myself a competent PvPer, recent losses notwithstanding. I'm not afraid to put ships on the line, I know how to take orders, I know how to use every weapon I've trained, and I rarely engage the enemy on his own terms. I also love PvE content though, and I believe wormholes are the pinnacle of that in this game. I've done a good bit of c1/c2 soloing but after losing a Legion to gankers I've decided it's much better to do it with friends.

IRL I'm a 24 year old accountant that got hit with the recessionhammer, so I'm doing odd jobs here and there until I catch a break (or go massively in debt to grad school).
It's also worth noting that, as an aficionado of capitalism (a student, not a master by any means), I find it pleasantly comforting to find others of the same bent.
