Re: Be back soon!

Washington D.C. was the murder capital of the US for many years. The fact that the city is impoverished and full of indigents is lost to the glamor of Washington Monument and The Lincoln Memorial. There is a lot of fascinating things to see, experience and learn but there are places that are going t...

He did not care anymore. Life and death, the same.

What are the good things in life?
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of the women.

k that is enough of that

Re: 2012 myth or a serious issue?

As Objectivists we typically don't qualify unfounded fears and superstitions as they are, more oft then not, founded in an emotional environment that lacks rational and reasoned observation. Things like prophecy and portent, carry no validity as it is based in gut feelings and not in intellectual pr...

Re: Retaliation

Retaliation is the response or action and self defense is the intention. The two are very closely related, but the intention is of utmost concern here. There are many people that would say that once an engagement is set upon that all is fair, and though that may be the case, experience has taught me...

Re: Rocket Launchers

I agree with Redhot, that there needs to be less focus on winning a debate or argument and more on the exchanging of facts until you come to a place of truth. Many times when trying to win an argument we put a slant on the facts, both as we offer them, in order to better our position or, on the fact...

You can also implement things like dividends/shares based off of contribution. If a person contributes more then they have greater access to the returns, whether that be access to materials or in game money. This does two things, it promotes investment into the corporation, and self betterment. For ...

This is a point of contention with me and some of other the person's views on Objectivism and it's core values. Objectivism seems to be perceived as a ground to disavow the value of the other and Rand even stated "I swear—by my life and my love of it—that I will never live for the sake of anoth...

Well there is a fair bit of a difference between psychopaths and sociopaths but, I too am wondering, what aspect of Objectivism enamors a sociopath? I do have the same general questions as Redslay. Though the honesty does bode well it does tend to lend towards distrust due to a lack of commitment to...

Re: New Book: Winning the Unwinnable War

Sometimes those who live in a verbose and articulate world can approach conversations with a degree of superfluous grammatical and syntax driven criticism looking for a way to twist the way something that was written to leverage it to make their point but, I digress. You read too much into the termi...
